Permits: Before starting any trekking in Nepal, it is necessary to obtain 2 permits. 1- the entrance permit to the national park 2000 rupees.2- is the TIMS, an insurance for your guide or porter 1400 rupees. you must pay it even if you're on your own. In fact, if you're alone, it costs 1400 rupees but if you book guide or porter services, it costs half price. |

![]() Day 1:Nayapul to TikhedhungaThe first trekking day is quite easy. It takes about 5 hours of climbing to reach Tikhedunga village. The landscape offers green mountains surrounded by rice terraces and small villages. Accommodation: We stayed at Kamala Guest House. Rooms are very simple and the bathroom is shared. A room costs only 100 rupees. It has a small and nice restaurant where the food is good. Please, keep in mind that during the trek, all restaurants increase prices. | ![]() Day 2: From Tikhedhunga to GorephaniThe second day is the hardest one. Thousands of steps to climb for nearly seven hours. Last stretch is through a beautiful forest. The scenery is still small villages surrounded by green mountains of rice terraces. Accommodation: We stayed at Pool House, located at the bottom of Gorephani. As we were very tired we stopped here. It means that we have to get up earlier tomorrow to reach over Poon Hill to enjoy the sunrise. | ![]() Day 3: From Gorephani to Tadapani (Gstart at 05:30 a.m. to reach the top of Poon Hill to enjoy the sunrise. climb about an hour. The way is fairly easy, crossing a spectacular forest. Last half hour is a very steep climb with steps to reach the quiet Tadapani village, full of hostels for overnight. Accommodation: We stayed at the Super View Hotel for 50 rupees a double room. It is very cheap but the food is very expensive. |
![]() Day 4: From Tadapani to NayapulLast day 7 hours (with some stops). The first section is a very green and dense jungle to reach Gandruk village. This village is really beautiful and traditional. In fact, it is an ideal place to spend some time relaxing, but we have decided to come back Pokhara to relax there. After Gandruk, the steps appear through small villages surrounded by rice terraces. After some hours we arrive at the river and we follow a dirt path to reach Nayapul. NOTE: Bus from Pokhara to Nayapul costs 100 rupees |
